Watching training.gov.au · daily
Training packages get updated. When the replacement is flagged not equivalent, learners can't simply be moved across — and the clock has usually been running for months before anyone notices.
Measured August 2026 on a random sample of 60 registered providers — live scope entries only, historical excluded.
Live check
Type your RTO code. We query the training.gov.au public API live — your current scope, cross-checked against national supersession status. Nothing stored, nothing to sign up for.
The report
The rows marked NOT equivalent are where the work is: evidence has to be remapped against the new product, and sometimes re-gathered. A real excerpt, provider identity withheld:
HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
superseded 44 months ago — replacement NOT equivalent
CHCSS00105 Palliative Approach Skill Set
superseded 44 months ago — replacement NOT equivalent
HLTSS00047 Audiometry Skill Set

The public scope endpoint returns your entire history, not your live scope. Counting historical entries inflates exposure up to 20×. We filter to what is genuinely on scope today before saying a word.
STEP 1
Straight from the training.gov.au public API — entries whose scope end date is current, historical excluded.
STEP 2
Supersession status and the equivalence flag of every replacement, product by product.
STEP 3
What's superseded, since when, what replaces it, equivalent or not. Yours to keep — free.
Straight answer
Your enrolments. The scope check reflects what you're registered to deliver, not who's enrolled — that only shows up in your student management system. If you want that answer too, cross your export yourself, right in your browser: it's parsed on your machine and only public product codes ever reach us.
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Your enrolment file (learner names, IDs, results) | Your machine. Never uploaded, never stored. |
| Product codes looked up during a cross | Cached on our server — public register data |
| Your RTO code + email (only if you start the watch) | Our mailbox. Reply "stop" and it's gone |
Free forever
Training packages change all year. Rather than remembering to check, get an email the day something on your scope is superseded — or the day a replacement's equivalence changes. It runs on public data, so it costs us almost nothing and we don't charge for it.
Renewal audits look at exactly this. The check is free, takes ten seconds, and the full report usually lands within a day.
