Add it and every group in the report gains a still on your scope? line. Leave it blank and the cross runs exactly the same — the code is public either way.
The file never leaves this browser. It is read here, on your machine; the only thing our server ever sees is a list of public training-product codes. From a ZIP, only the NAT00120 inside it is ever opened — the client files are never even decompressed.
Where to find this file
You need an enrolment export from your student management system, saved as CSV. Whatever system you run, the route is almost always the same shape:
- The usual path
- Open your Reports section, find the enrolment report — it may be called enrolments, enrolment export, or enrolment list — run it, and export the result as CSV. Menus get renamed between versions and every setup differs, so treat that as the shape rather than an exact path.
- If nothing matches your screen
- Look for any report of enrolments that includes the training product code, and export it as CSV. That is the whole requirement. Commas, semicolons or tabs, quoted or not — we work it out.
- No system at all?
- A spreadsheet works. One row per enrolment, one column with the code.
The code column is the only one we need — qualification code, course code, unit code, product code, whatever your system calls it. Learner name, learner ID, status and start date are optional extras: when they are in the file they come through to your report, and when they are not we still cross the codes.
If your export has no status column we cross every row in it. Without that column we cannot tell a finished learner from a current one, so we do not try.
Working from Excel? File → Save As → CSV. We read .csv, tab-separated .txt/.tsv, the AVETMISS NAT00120 and the whole AVETMISS ZIP — not .xlsx.
What this does, before you upload anything
Training packages get updated, and when they do the register marks the old training product superseded and names what replaces it. If that replacement is flagged not equivalent, the two are not interchangeable: learners cannot simply be moved across, because the evidence has to be remapped and sometimes re-gathered. This tool takes your enrolment export and tells you which of your learners are sitting in those products right now — grouped by training product, with the register's status against each one. It is free and it has no sign-up, because the whole calculation runs on your machine: only the product codes are ever looked up, and those are public.
And each of those superseded products carries a date: under item 14 of the 2025 Standards, which binds ASQA-registered providers, new enrolments into it are not permitted from one year after its replacement entered the register. That date is what the result below leads with — for the learners already enrolled there is no fixed deadline, which is the part most summaries get backwards.
