| 25 rows — for one learner. Your file has a block like this for every one of them. | |||
AWARD CT is the row someone keys in. ALREADY HELD needs nothing — the unit is on the record under that same code. RE MAP keeps the work and redoes the paperwork. GAP is the only one that needs teaching. Which electives a learner takes is the provider's choice, so they are counted, never listed as rows to key.
Of the 24 units this learner completed in HLT54115, 19 credit straight across — the same code in both qualifications, or a renumbering the register itself declares equivalent. Nobody re-teaches those.
4 units keep their work but not their paperwork: the register flags their replacements NOT equivalent, so the evidence has to be mapped again against the new unit. Done once, filed, defensible at audit.
And 2 units — HLTENN060 and HLTENN068 — are genuinely new: nothing in HLT54115 maps to them. That is real teaching, and it is the whole difference between a transition that is paperwork and one that needs a training run.
That is one row. Your file has one of these for every learner — counted from what the register publishes and from your own results, checkable line by line.
§ Sample — one learner, invented data. The transition is real (training.gov.au supersedes HLT54115 with HLT54121, flagged not equivalent); the learner, the reference and the results are invented for this page. A real Transition File is computed from your de-identified results file — names, dates of birth and USIs are refused before a single row is processed.
We read the register and the legislation; we do not assess compliance. This row shows what the register says about each unit; whether the transition is compliant is your call, not ours.
Every learner, not just one
The Transition File comes with the monthly service: upload a de-identified results file and get this row for your whole cohort — plus which units to bridge first, so one training run covers many.
