Can an RTO still enrol new students in SITXINV202?

For an RTO registered by ASQA, new enrolments are not permitted today, unless ASQA has approved otherwise — for your organisation, for a class of RTOs, or for all RTOs. The one-year point this rule counts from — one year from the date the replacement was included on the National Register — fell earlier, on 3 March 2017. That date is arithmetic, not a day on which this instrument prohibited anything: s 14(1)(a)(i) of the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Compliance Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations and Fit and Proper Person Requirements) Instrument 2025 (F2025L00355) commenced on 1 July 2025 and imposes nothing before then. RTOs registered by VRQA in Victoria or by the TAC in Western Australia are not covered by it.

Is there a deadline for learners already enrolled in SITXINV202?

Learners already enrolled have no fixed deadline: they complete the product and are issued their AQF certification, or transfer to the replacement, in a timely manner (ASQA guidance, read live 25 August 2026).

The unit Receive and store stock covers stock control for all types of stock. This unit now only covers the particular skills and knowledge required to store perishable supplies in optimum conditions to minimise wastage and avoid food safety hazards.
